鉴于VOC对***以及环境的危害，国际上很多地区及***都出台了关于VOC管控的***或标准，范围主要涉及建筑材料、室内空气、电子电器等。

2013年9月10日，***印发了《大气污染防治行动计划》，此行动计划要求加强工业企业大气污染综合治理，推进挥发性有机物污染治理，在石化、有机化工、表面涂装、包装印刷等行业实施挥发性有机物综合整治。

2015年6月18日，***、***发改委、***联合印发了《挥发性有机物排污收费试点办法》，试点行业包括石油化工行业和包装印刷行业，办法自今年10月1日起施行。根据试点办法，试点范围为石油化工行业中的***加工及石油制品制造、有机化学原料制造、初级形态塑料及合成树脂制造、合成橡胶制造、合成纤维单(聚合)体制造和仓储业，以及包装印刷行业的包装装潢印刷。这两个行业***试点，今后还可能进一步扩大试点范围。而其他***和地区也在纷纷制定相关******和标准来控制VOC污染。
